Last night, March 26, 2025, the Jersey City City Council voted to award a contract to Mark Construction Inc. by a vote 8-0 (Councilman Rivera was absent) for repairs of 283 Halladay Street.

While we are delighted to hear this news, we remain cautiously optimistic as it seems everything is Jersey City takes longer than expected. Until work is complete and the firehouse is reopened, our neighborhood is still without adequate fire protection.
