Tonight brings us a bit of mixed news. 

First and foremost, there was yet again another fire in our neighborhood. Early this morning, there was a fire on Pacific Avenue (a block and a half away from 283 Halladay). I, like many of you, woke up to the sound of helicopters and smell of smoke.  Two more small businesses and three apartments are gone from our neighborhood. Read more here 

Later on this afternoon, Councilwoman Ridley announced that she is pushing for the relocation of Engine 10 & Ladder 12 back to our neighborhood while the Halladay St house is renovated. The proposed location is an empty lot at 408-420 Communipaw Ave. Read more here.

While the relocation of a staging area is a good step in the right direction, WE NEED OUR FIREHOUE BACK!
