I always loved waterfalls.The mist feels nice and it’s a peaceful place for visitors to enjoy.Its one of things could bring people to experience nature.

To residents of Boulder,Colorado,Denver, Boulder falls is one of the best places to visit in Boulder.Its next to Hwy  119  10-20 minutes from Boulder.Its a easy and a good hike for families and people who can do long hikes.Looking for a awesome 70 foot waterfall with just a short hike in the outdoors.

Sadly Boulder falls is closed since November of 2024 because of a rockslide.It can cause a lot of hazards.We understand Boulder falls cant be open to public since it’s not safe until workers and the first responders can reopen Boulder falls again but safely.

The city of Boulder has announced they are planing and studying areas so busy can safely  have access again to Boulder falls.But the public still doesn’t have an estimate when it will open again or a clear construction.

We are asking the City of Boulder, Open Space and Mountain Parks, the Open Space Board of Trustees, and the Boulder City Council to:

1.Complete the feasibility and design work as soon as safely possible.

2.Release a clear estimated timeline for construction.

3.Identify and approve funding for the new viewing platform and safe visitor access.

4.Provide regular public updates about the project’s progress.

5.Design the new access with safety, accessibility, wildlife protection, and the surrounding environment in mind.

We understand that Boulder Falls cannot reopen until the area is safe. This petition is not asking the city to ignore the dangers. It is asking city leaders to make the project a priority and create a safe, responsible path toward reopening this treasured destination.
