Were you glued to the TV screen a year ago when Boy Swallows Universe dropped on Netflix? The shady characters in Trent Dalton’s whimsical book were brought to life - Bryan Brown’s depiction of elderly “lifer” and jail-breaker “Slim” Halliday was just brilliant. It was fantastic to see Brisbane and Queensland featured in a series which broke records in viewership worldwide. One of those sites was Boggo Road Gaol (Jail) when Eli scaled it’s red-brick walls! 

The Olympics are on the horizon. Brisbane is one of the hottest destinations for travellers – and yet there is no date for reopening. This ridiculous situation has to end. Please encourage friends, family and colleagues to sign up to this petition. We are aiming to break 10,000 signatures.
