Reopen and review my friend’s murder conviction

Reopen and review my friend’s murder conviction
The Issue
My closest friend Leighton Williams ,whom I visit and speak with on the phone daily, has been wrongfully incarcerated due to a murder conviction that we believe was unjust. This conviction has deprived two little girls of their father, a man who has always been there for them, a devoted dad who they now can only reach through infrequent prison visits or phone calls . The void left in their lives is not just heart-wrenching, it is a monumental injustice that has occurred due to a rush in judgment and a lack of proper investigation.
The Criminal Cases Review Commission (CCRC) holds the power to investigate miscarriages of justice to ensure that cases like my friend’s receive the fair review they were unjustly denied. The CCRC has the ability to send cases back to the Court of Appeal if new evidence or elements are found that may alter the original judgment.
I believe that Leightons case is emblematic of a miscarriage of justice. During the initial trial, vital evidence and possible witness testimony were overlooked. Moreover, there have been advancements in forensic science that could significantly affect the outcome if re-examined. With these enhancements and new information, we feel there is a compelling case that deserves a second look.
It's vital to remember that at the core of this case lies a man who has spent years separated from his loved ones and daughters growing up without their father. We owe it not just to him but to his young daughters to continue the fight for justice. We want them to grow up knowing that the system did not fail them. They deserve closure, and so does their father.
We are calling on the CCRC to reopen and thoroughly review my friend’s murder conviction. This is a plea not just for one man but for fairness and justice for all who may be wrongfully imprisoned. Please join us in our call for justice and truth by signing this petition to urge the CCRC to take action.
I no it’s probably not easy to believe nor understand, but if my friend done something as serious as murder I wouldn’t be here today trying to fight this I would be a support system to him but not here trying to get him out it would be on him to do the time he was given , but he didn’t kill nobody nor was he on the scene of the crime at the time
