The Issue

On December 23, 2024, my 33-year-old son Adam Leisher was found deceased in Mary Esther, Florida.
Within just twelve seconds of entering the premises, Corporal Frederick declared his death a suicide — before any real investigation had begun.
The case was closed on paper only twenty minutes later, immediately following that premature declaration.
By the time an investigator was assigned and arrived, the case was already closed — and that investigator, Investigator Staley, told me directly that he doesn'twork homicides and that he was ruling my son’s death a suicide without facts.
He did not even become certified as an investigator until July 2024, just a few months before Adam’s death.

No meaningful investigative work took place that day.
The only interviews — conducted more than a month later, on January 30 and February 4, 2025 — were limited solely to the two roommates.
No neighbors, witnesses, or other relevant individuals were ever questioned.
Key evidence was overlooked, personal belongings disappeared, and the “suicide” label remained — unsupported by the facts.

Adam was healthy, disciplined, and deeply devoted to his family and work.
He lived by the words “Let’s do better.”
He deserved the same diligence, respect, and truth that law enforcement owes every citizen.
