This is my story as to why I started this petition.

One day my friend  and I were sitting in the DQ in Montgomery. As we started to leave, we had to walk by a booth when we heard this young girl who was sitting with her Grandfather ask him if she could save the rest of her hamburger until the next day so she would have something to eat.

It damn near brought tears to my eyes. When I got home I was so mad I decided to start this petition. It took me almost 2 months to get all the information I needed. So far I’ve only got 1343 signatures but I need at least 10,000 at a minimum and 100,000 at a maximum. The biggest problem I have is that there is no where else to sit to get signatures. No shopping centres in the city will allow me to set up a booth there. Nor will the food bank. I currently sit outside at a Market but will not be able to in the winter.

We need a Rent Control system in place. Please help by signing so I can take this to the legislation and Premier Daniel Smith
