So more information from my sources has let me know that Paramount might have been committing ratings fraud throughout all this to boost certain shows over others (and while they didn't say one way or the other about this (some more investigating might be needed) for all we know they still actively are especially given how hard it seemingly is to find CBS ratings these days). If they use multiplatform ratings (a practice that has even brought them into conflict with TV Guide) that includes their international viewers and covers up if a show they want to continue has its live viewership cratering. This means they could shape the narrative around the success of CBS shows to favor the ones they'd prefer and make the ones they didn't (like, say, So Help Me Todd) look worse by comparison. I don't know about you but hearing this makes me think (if this is indeed true, sources didn't make it sound like a rumor but still phrased it in a not-quite-definite way that might require further investigating)) Paramount deserves legal action against it for that fraud. Maybe we Toddies could do some kind of class-action suit and somehow work a return for the show into what we'd get out of it if we win. It kinda is funny how thematic this all is turning out to be...
