So to add to the whole life-imitates-art of it all stuff I've heard from my sources that are out there investigating seems to suggest that Paramount Plus might be the true mastermind of the situation despite a lot of us initially blaming CBS because they seemed the most obvious. Apparently they were losing a lot of money and since Paramount production NCIS: Sydney did well in the ratings due to lack of scripted competition during the strikes, Paramount PLus was allowed somehow to basically seize control over the subsequent TV season's schedule and that's why so many new lower-cost pitches came through and so many shows were unjustly cancelled.

CBS is not the enemy here and therefore those boycotting CBS are misaiming their boycott if they aren't just boycotting the new shows that premiered this season like Matlock (which seems to be suspiciously favored by CBS or at least Paramount given the weirdly early renewal), NCIS: Origins, Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage and even the upcoming Watson. So we should keep fighting like we have been but if Paramount Plus is the true villain of this story we should take the fight to them.
