Hello Code Lyoko Fans,
We’ve got a big day to go through, and that mainly is Amazon Prime Day. So, let’s break it down to as brief as possible. Ever since Cartoon Network stopped airing our favorite show, the cable channel has been very much dead to us, and it all started with its failed negotiations with France 3 back in late 2007.
Then, the now-defunct MoonScoop’s Facebook announced that the show would return for a fifth season, but it was instead the follow-up series of Evolution that serves as a sequel to original CL series, not a proper continuation, which was a big mistake that leads to the company’s bankruptcy.
Today, Code Lyoko has Darguad Media and its Mediatoon Distribution (Distributor) and Ellipsanime (Production) as the current owners, but we are still missing a streaming service, and that is the only, Amazon Prime Video.
Other than YouTube (not uploaded in HD), all four seasons (prequel included) is now available on Amazon Prime Video, which becomes our only hope in needs of a digital broadcaster to renew Code Lyoko for a proper continuation of the original French animated series.
Besides streaming the old episodes, as another reason to renew the show on Prime Video, Amazon also has Code Lyoko’s merchandises including physical CDs & DVDs, Toys, and Video Games for Nintendo Wii and DS. So, it all makes sense that Amazon Prime Video is the right place for new original content of older shows.
Right now, we have over 2,000 signatures, but we still need more support, so what I am encouraging at this moment of reading this update is to do the following in regards needing Amazon Prime Video to renew for new seasons and episodes of the original animated series:
- For more signatures, share and promote the petition, and tell your Code Lyoko and other animation community groups on your social media accounts.
- For more customer service, you can also feel free to contact help@amazon.com for a request to bring the show back.
Please be aware that watching our favorite show on Amazon Prime Video requires a subscription that starts with a 30-day free trial before paying $8.99 per month.
Let’s launch a return to the past now by renewing Code Lyoko for new seasons and episodes on Amazon Prime Video.
Sincerely,
Seattle Entertainer
