Renew & Animate Code Lyoko For Season 5 on Netflix

The Issue

My Reason to Start This Petition: Code Lyoko is not only because it is unlike any other show in the television industry but also the only cartoon in the world that features both 2D and 3D animations. It's one of the best and underrated childhood shows on television and it deserves a proper send-off.

Problem: For those of us who remember the time when we first watched our favorite as a child, we noticed that nothing new has happened since it last aired. It all started when Cartoon Network decided to pull Code Lyoko off from the cable channel because of its failed negotiations with France 3. After the four-season run, we ended up getting a pair of alternate continuities of the short-lived Live-Action (Real World)/CGI (Lyoko) sequel of Evolution and the unreadable four-novel series of Chronicles. Since 2014, Dargaud Media has acquired the assets from Moonscoop, which the now-defunct company filed for bankruptcy.

Bottom Line: The plot of the fourth season rushed into an ending that neither had enough closure nor a cliffhanger with unresolved issues on the backstory, characters, and secrets & mysteries, which leaves the series incomplete. From unanswered questions to lackluster character developments to the incomplete ending, there are countless reasons why Code Lyoko needs a proper continuation of the original animated series.

Solution: We need a large dedicated fanbase to convince Ellipsanime (Dargaud Media) and a new Paris-based animated studio to make a co-production agreement for an official continuation with new seasons and episodes of the original Code Lyoko series that utilizes the traditional 2D (Real World) and 3D (Lyoko) animations.

More importantly, we also need to require all of the participating storyboarders, directors, animators, and voice actors (new and familiar alike) to review the old episodes of Code Lyoko before putting the show back in production for certain respects.

As for the target audience, in addition to today's kids and teens as the primary target audience, we also need the studio to make the new Code Lyoko content aim toward more on the young adults (including the Millenials) to keep them interested in finishing the series as a complete overhaul along with the final ending.

Without the Victory: Our dedicated fan base who has waited long enough to bring our beloved cartoon show back to the spotlight will eventually perish if Dargaud Media does not announce any plans to make the new Code Lyoko content by September 2023, which will mark twenty years since the television debut.

Who Will Watch The New Code Lyoko Content (Benefits)? Having the fifth season and possibly beyond within the original Code Lyoko series will most importantly benefit the viewers who have watched the show as children at the time of the original programming run (from September 3rd, 2003, to November 10th, 2007). Please sign the petition to get our favorite show the final answers that we deserve for longtime fans and newcomers alike.
