Living with a chronic illness, I've become painfully aware of the skyrocketing cost of healthcare. My parents are often forced to pay out-of-pocket for my medical appointments and necessary medications, as the availability of bulk billing decreases. I cannot imagine what the cost must be like for terminally ill and other chronically ill patients, especially with the rise in inflation. I'm worried that maybe one day, with the inevitable rise in cost of living, I will have to push back doctor appointments and medications because I will not be able to afford basic healthcare treatment on my own.  It's worrying how bulk billing is also decreasing; something that greatly eased the financial burden of being a sick kid. 

 The rise of healthcare costs is undoubtedly closely tied in with inflation, resulting in affordable healthcare becoming a distant dream for many. Because of this, we cannot idly stand by as people are deprived of their right to necessary medical attention.

By making healthcare affordable, we can ensure that everyone, regardless of financial circumstance, receives the medical support they need. You have the power to enact change and make healthcare a basic right, not a privilege.
