Dear friends and supporters,
Silent Voices United Inc., a 501c3 non-profit, community, and youth outreach program, in partnership with Patricia Porter, is raising funds to honor the memory of William 'Donnell' Porter and promote child safety in our community.
To honor Donnell's memory, we are organizing "Remembering William Donnell Porter: A Day of Safety and Remembrance" on May 20th, which would have been his birthday. This event aims to raise awareness about child safety and provide resources for parents and children to protect themselves against unforeseen dangers. Our target audience is children aged 8 to 12 and their parents, who we believe are the most vulnerable to such dangers.
In addition, we want to install a memorial plaque in Donnell's honor at PS 92 | Mary McLeod Bethune School, where he was going on the day of his abduction. This plaque will serve as a lasting tribute to Donnell and a reminder to our community to remain vigilant in protecting our children.
We are asking for your support to make this event and memorial plaque possible. Any contribution, no matter how small, will help us achieve our goal of honoring Donnell's memory and promoting child safety.
Your generous donations will cover the costs of event planning and execution, safety workshops, guest speakers, and the memorial plaque.
We appreciate any amount you can contribute and are grateful for your support in making our community safer for our children.
