THERE ARE (3) Street signs in Harlem named after Slave Traders and owners that have committed hundreds maybe thousands of atrocities on black people.

THERE ARE (2) Street names in Harlem co-named after rappers with a criminal background, but deserving of a street co-name because of their contribution to the music industry.

THERE ARE (2) Street signs in East Harlem, also known as or El Barrio co-named after two Hispanic teens killed by a gun.

THERE ARE (2) Street signs below West 110th Street co-named after two Caucasian children stuck and killed by a car.

THERE IS NO street co-name in Harlem after a Black child.

WILLIAM DONNELL PORTER, was abducted, tortured, and murdered. His body found 7 weeks and 5 days after his abduction. His unique situation is that authorities used him as a means of cleaning up crime, but forgot about him in the end, no justice or recognition. With a co-street naming, we are doing what others have not. REMEMBERING HIM.

The “William Donnell Porter Way” shall be a symbol acknowledging all the Black children abducted, murdered, and exploited that are underreported in the news.

This street co-naming will be the first in Harlem named after a Black child and to be designated as a "Drug-Free Zone". It will say to the community that we care about our Black children and will not tolerate any illegal drug activity in the block that 12-year-old William Donnell Porter lived and became a victim.
