On December 14th 2025, two villains opened fire on Bondi Beach and took away the many innocent lives of Soviet and Jewish immigrants, celebrants, and locals. They instilled fear in an entire community and took the lives of many, including young and bright Matilda Bee. This has come as a great shock to her immediate family and community, they are in absolute shambles with minimal outlet for commemorating Matildas joyful life.

The inspiration for this campaign came from an Instagram comment I had read from @isayfitzone (Isay Eremeev), a man known in the community, quoting: "RIP beautiful girl, could we possibly name the children's park at Bondi Beach Matilda's Park?". I then thought this could be a great way to honour the victims that lost their lives with a plaque and with the addition of 'Bee' in the name of the park to honour Matildas's true legacy, which would also serve as a reminder and memorial place for the community in the years to come. In addition to being a symbol of a safer Australia for our future generations.
