This petition impacts not only Correctional Officers but all staff whether union or nonunion members. It is a VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE! The poor management and mismanagement of the George W. Hill Correctional facility is costing county tax payers thousands of dollars in lawsuits. The mistreatment to staff, racism, bullying, toxic work environment and inability to negotiate a fair contract with the union is destroying the morale of every single officer in the facility. 

If there is no immediate change soon either an incarcerated person or a staff member is going to be seriously hurt. We are loosing employees daily due to unfair treatment by administration, a grievance procedure that allows the warden to serve write ups at any given time even as far back as 2022, no active responses to complaints of harassment from staff, unilaterally creating new rules without bargaining with the union and an inability bargain a fair contract with the union. Same poor leadership that forced the Allegheny County Independent Employees Union to force her and the deputy warden to leave that facility. 
 
If we don’t act now the prison will not only loose its hard working, dedicated officers but because of understaffing and not properly screening new hires the introduction of contraband to the facility has increased substantially. Without proper staffing and a fair contract the jail will subsequently fail as a facility and put a number of people in imminent danger. We must put an end to Laura Williams and her deputy wardens that carry out her diabolical biddings!
