I am a resident of Banning, CA who has experienced a recurring and alarming issue. An individual has been engaging in actions that infringe upon my personal rights and violate my sense of safety in my own home. He has been invading my privacy by peeping into my backyard and windows, as well as making unsolicited intrusions by climbing my fence. Furthermore, I've found myself constantly cleaning up unnecessary items left at my door and in my yard, likely left by the same person.

Such disrespectful and intrusive behavior not only breaks bonds of neighborly respect, but it is also illegal. According to 2017 National Crime Victimization Survey, annually over 3 million U.S. citizens report stalking incidents, and it is taken very seriously by law enforcement not just nationally, but at the state and local level as well (U.S. Department of Justice Bureau of Justice Statistics).

The continued presence of this person in my area is a cause of deep unrest and constant worry. The sense of safety, peace, and privacy in our homes is a fundamental right that should be upheld and maintained. As mentioned, stalking and other similar intrusive behaviors are against the law.

Through this petition, I humbly request local law enforcement, our Neighborhood Watch, and the City Council of Banning, CA to take immediate and effective measures. Remove this individual from our local residential area and ensure increased vigilance to prevent such issues in the future.
