We, the undersigned, call for the removal of Tomer Capone from the cast of “The Boys.” Tomer Capone, who portrays the character Frenchie, is an Israeli actor. The character of Frenchie is canonically a French-Algerian man, and we believe that casting an actor who does not share this background is a misrepresentation.

Furthermore, Tomer Capone has publicly expressed views that are deeply troubling to many. He has stated his support for actions that many consider to be part of the ongoing conflict and humanitarian crisis in Palestine. This stance is in direct opposition to the character he portrays and to the values of many fans of the show. Moreover, he served in the IDF taking an active part in the persecution of the Palestinian people.

We believe that representation matters and that characters should be portrayed by actors who respect and understand their cultural and historical backgrounds. We urge the producers of “The Boys” to reconsider this casting choice and to find an actor who more accurately represents Frenchie’s heritage and values.
