Toll roads are meant for additional route than the normal route. Also the additional route which collects should be maintained flawlessly. The toll in Old Mahabaliburam Road alias Rajiv Gandhi Salai does not maintained at all, very best example was during the December floods where the road was totally broken because of the bad maintenance and poor quality and even now the roads are not friendly. Very importantly the OMR road alias Rajiv Gandhi Salai does not have alternate road without toll which is against the basic as we already pay Road Tax. Every person who crosses this roads daily for their office work pays 40 rupees daily and an average of 880 rupees every month (22 days) excluding Saturday's and Sundays which is major dent for any middle-class person who drives car for their personal comfortableness and health reason Now in spite of all these things they have increased the toll rates from 40 to 50 which is 1100 from 880 for a bad road. Every person who uses this toll road has the same problem We request central and state government to intervene and remove the toll in OMR alias Rajiv Gandhi Road in favour of all the people who are severely affected because of the same.
