We, the concerned students and parents of American canyon high school , have come together to address a pressing issue that poses a significant threat to our school community. There is an urgent need to remove wasp nests that have become a growing concern in the A building of our school.

The Problem:

The presence of these wasp nests has raised serious safety concerns for our students, staff, and parents who visit the school. Our primary reasons for requesting the removal of these nests are as follows:

1. Allergic Reactions: Many students within our school community have reported allergic reactions to wasp stings. For these students, even a single sting could lead to severe health consequences. It's crucial that we ensure the safety and well-being of every student.

2. Fear and Anxiety: Beyond the physical danger, the constant presence of wasps has created a fearful and anxiety-inducing atmosphere for students. This fear negatively impacts the overall learning environment and wellbeing of students who should feel safe at school.

3. Academic Impact: This ongoing issue has started to affect students' academic performance. The fear of encountering wasps in the A building can make it challenging for students to concentrate and engage in their studies effectively.

The Solution:

We believe it is the responsibility of NVUSD to address this problem promptly and effectively. To do so, we propose the following steps:

1. Immediate Removal: We urge the school district to take immediate action to remove the wasp nests from the A building. This will not only alleviate the physical danger but also reduce the anxiety and fear that students and staff are currently experiencing.

2. Preventative Measures: Once the nests are removed, we request that the school district takes necessary precautions to prevent future infestations. Regular inspections and maintenance should be a part of the long-term plan to ensure the safety of our school environment.

3. Transparent Communication: We also request that the school district communicates its plan of action and timeline for nest removal and prevention to the school community. Transparency will help build trust and keep everyone informed.
