We, the undersigned asylum seekers and supporters, urgently raise our concern regarding the ongoing mistreatment, violence, and exploitation of asylum seekers at the Vič asylum camp in Ljubljana.

Reported issues include:

Forcing asylum seekers to work inside the camp without contracts or fair compensation, violating labor rights.

Physical and verbal violence and intimidation by some camp officials and staff, creating an unsafe and hostile environment.

Lack of proper medical care and respect for privacy, endangering the health and dignity of residents.

Abuse of power by camp administration, including neglect and intimidation tactics.

Unsafe and unsanitary living conditions affecting the well-being of asylum seekers.

These practices violate fundamental human rights and the principles of dignity, fairness, and respect that should govern asylum processes.

We demand the immediate removal and thorough investigation of the current camp administration at Vič to ensure a safe, just, and humane environment for all asylum seekers in Slovenia.

We urge the Slovenian government and relevant institutions to:

Take swift and decisive action to stop the violence and abuses.

Guarantee fair treatment, legal protections, and safety for asylum seekers.

Establish transparent oversight and accountability mechanisms for asylum camp management.

The continuation of these violations cannot be tolerated. We call for justice, protection, and meaningful reform.
