We, the residents of NG6 0JN and the surrounding area, are calling on Nottingham City Council to remove the newly installed double yellow lines on our street.

 

These restrictions have created a serious parking problem for local residents, many of whom do not have enough driveway space and rely on street parking daily. The new double yellow lines have:

 

Taken away the only safe and convenient places for residents to park
Caused unnecessary stress, inconvenience, and hardship
Forced residents to park far away from their homes
Increased the risk of parking disputes and unsafe parking further down the street

 

We believe these restrictions are unreasonable and do not reflect the needs of the people who live here.

What We Are Asking For:

We respectfully request that Nottingham City Council:

Removes the double yellow lines on our street,

We ask the Council to review the Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) covering our street and to open a public consultation so residents can have a genuine say.

Why This Matters:

We are not asking for unrestricted parking — we simply want fair, practical options so we can park near our homes. These double yellow lines do not reflect the layout of our neighbourhood or the day-to-day needs of local families.

We urge the Council to act quickly

 and work with residents to find a reasonable solution.
