In December 2020 an illegal party was held at the Conservative Party HQ in London. It was organised by the campaign team for London mayoral candidate Shaun Bailey.

At the time London was under Tier 2 Covid restrictions; people were banned from socialising indoors, except with members of their household / support bubble.

The party attendees included Shaun Bailey who was recently awarded a peerage in Boris Johnson's honours list. Also in attendance was Ben Mallet, a former aide to the ex-prime minister who was awarded an OBE. 

Granting honours to anyone who attended this party is a kick in the teeth to the millions of law abiding citizens who obeyed lockdown rules - with many missing funerals and not having a chance to say a final goodbye to loved ones.  

The honours awarded to Shaun Bailey and Ben Mallet must be rescinded.
