Remove the British airline easyJet as Eurovision Song Contest's official airline sponsor

Kampanya metni

For the past three years, the British based low-cost airline easyJet has been the official airline sponsor of the Eurovision Song Contest, a position that should be held with integrity and respect for the values of this historic event. However, easyJet has abused this role through questionable actions that have left Eurovision fans feeling misled and disillusioned.

In 2024, easyJet released a song titled "All Aboard the Orange Plane" by Scooch who represented the UK in 2007, followed by "Orange Runway" by Ginger Johnson (who openly supports Palestine) in 2025, both of which have been criticized as blatant propaganda pieces lacking in artistic value and sincerity. These songs have drawn serious concerns from dedicated Eurovision fans. The integrity of the Eurovision brand is at stake as easyJet continues to operate without transparency, using these orchestrated releases for their corporate gains.

Furthermore, easyJet's open support of the Israeli televote campaign since 2024 (in which Eden Golan was supposed to get disqualified for the Grand Final day that year) raises questions of neutrality—a cornerstone of Eurovision's values that has been compromised, thanks to the genocide in Gaza. Instead of fostering unity, the sponsorship has polarized fans and contestants, detracting from the spirit and purpose of the contest.

This goes beyond mere corporate promotions; it delves into the realm of artwashing, where easyJet's involvement appears to overshadow the contest's commitment to diversity and respect. The way easyJet manipulates their association to influence public perception is not only unethical but also contradicts the values that define Eurovision.

Alarmingly, instances have emerged where easyJet has allegedly shown disrespect towards recognized organizations like UNICEF. By utilizing their sponsorship stature to undermine such global institutions, they have revealed a concerning lack of moral responsibility.

We call upon the event organisers, stakeholders, and governing bodies of the Eurovision Song Contest to recognize these grievances and step forward in making a change. Eurovision deserves sponsors who genuinely uphold the contest's spirit and commit to its values of harmony, diversity, and artistic joy.

Please sign this petition to demand the removal of easyJet as the official airline sponsor for the Eurovision Song Contest. Let's safeguard the integrity of an event we dearly treasure.
