Remove Snow White (2025 film) From Disney+
The Issue

First and foremost, one of the biggest problems with this movie is that, much like Disney's previous live-action remakes of the Disney Animated Canon, it once again furthers Hollywood's lame ideology of "everything old is new again" by remaking this film. It also implies that Disney still did not learn a single lesson from their previous live-action remakes.
Terrifying CGI designs that give Artemis Fowl a run for its money, with the worst offender being the dwarves. They look like characters from a PS5/Xbox Series game or rejects from The Adventures of Tintin rather than dwarves. On the other hand, the animals that Snow White bonds with, while cute and cuddly, look too cartoonish to the point where they look like uncanny Bambi or Peter Rabbit rejects. The reason why the dwarves were made using CGI was due to a comment by Peter Dinklage. While Dinklage did make a good point about avoiding being typecast, Disney took his comment the wrong way and ended up with this. This also led to Dylan "Hornswoggle" Postl, Jeff Brooks, and Katrina Kemp critiquing Dinklage's comments, feeling like he was unduly speaking on their behalf and costing them roles.
Atrocious, if not downright catastrophic, direction from Marc Webb, which is a shame as he directed The Amazing Spider-Man duology (which are both far better films than this) and an episode of The Office.
The writing is very bad.
Adding Poison to the Apple: Rachel Zegler's casting was met with heavy backlash, as people found her to be a dark-skinned Latina playing a caucasian princess whose is described by the Magic Mirror in the original animated film as having "skin as white as snow", but while she does have a great performance and an amazing singing voice and sounds overall similar to the late Adriana Caselotti, her performance isn't as amazing as Caselotti's from the original 1937 film. Sound awfully familiar?
It feels too different from its source material to the point that it's a kid-friendly version of the 2012 film Snow White and the Huntsman.
Some characters are not very good or don't do much: The Seven Dwarfs, while likable characters as in the original film, don't do anything at all. Instead, only the new characters in the movie make major contributions.
For starters, the Prince who kisses Snow White is not featured in this film and has been replaced by a new character, a thief named John. He's essentially the "Robin Hood" of this film.
John's band of thieves is not interesting, and the viewers will likely forget who they are.
The Evil Queen enslaves her entire kingdom after killing the king.
Gal Gadot does an underwhelming job as the Evil Queen. She doesn't sound menacing, but rather very annoyed whenever the Evil Queen's plan has failed due to her poor performance, which doesn't do justice to the character. She overall lacks the intimidating flair of the original Evil Queen from the original 1937 classic because of Gal's awful acting alone.
The narratives are completely unfocused with weak interactions, and the audience doesn't get enough time with some characters in certain scenes.
The songs, while great, are forgettable, especially the new ones. To add even more insult to injury, some of the original songs, including "Someday My Prince Will Come" and "I'm Wishing" in particular, were cut from the film, disappointing to those who wanted to see those two songs return.
Horrible climax: Snow White shows up to her kingdom and convinces the guards to lay down their arms by reminding them of their past when they were farmers or bakers until they were forced to work for the Queen, so they turn against the latter. But rather than casting a spell to drive away an evolving riot, the Evil Queen runs back into her castle and smashes the magic mirror herself, trapping her inside. And that's it! John doesn't fight her, Snow White doesn't fight her, the Seven Dwarfs don't fight her; the Evil Queen commits suicide through idiocy. Heck, even The Little Mermaid remake's ending, as terrible as the change is to have Ariel piloting the ship to kill Ursula, was more climactic than this.
The pacing isn't very good.
It does a poor job of modernizing the original 1937 film of the same name due to the amount of changes from the original movie to make the film more "appealing" to modern audiences, such as giving the songs from the original that are used in this remake a poppy tone or removing many of the darker elements from the original film that would be deemed controversial for modern movie standards (which is understandable if one considers Snow White as 14 years old while the Prince is 31), but it also strips the timeless feel of the original 1937 film since it was very simplistic, but had a good enough story and fun visuals with some dark scenes and funny jokes that made the film beloved for generations, which is something that this remake lacks altogether. In fact, this remake is probably the most uncreative and lazy out of all of them since the original film was a lot more simplistic than the other Disney animated films that got remakes and was made during the 1930's when the Great Depression was occurring and since many of Disney's films nowadays are more cinematic with heavy focus on both character development and action, it makes this remake feel out of touch and proves that the writers had run out of ideas when making this film in general.
Plus, it feels more like a Snow White trollfic than an actual remake.
Unimpressive costume design, as most of the clothing on the actors looks too modern and slick for the film's setting, since it tries to emulate the type of clothing that the characters wore in the original movie. However, they don't do a good job at replicating the old-fashioned and fairy tale vibe of the original character designs from its animated counterpart, due to the clothing being Viking-like and overall looking very fake in general.
The worst part about all of this is that Disney abandoned faith in this film after it flopped, when it was clear that it wasn't going to be the hit that the studio wanted it to achieve.
I Hope you all Understand.
