As most of you know, the right-wing YouTuber “Shaun Porter Reports” has been staging controversial protests at FCC hiding behind a “right for free speech” and harassing the student body. Shaun Porter has been responsible for taping students and faculty without permission, posting them online. This petition is intended to push the Frederick Community College board to take action in removing him, restoring a safe and peaceful environment for education. This petition is not intended to challenge the right for free speech or to protest— it challenges Shaun Porter’s presence on campus and the actions taken with his “protest.” He is neither welcomed nor wanted at FCC. Filming and patronizing minors, faculty, and other students alike, Shaun Porter is being kindly asked to leave. This creation of a hostile and tense environment does not promote a healthy learning community.
