Foreign propaganda has no place in Canada. Recent events should be a wake up call for Canadians to see how dangerous disinformation can be, not to mention costly to taxpayers.

Nonetheless, Canadian Cable companies are profiting off it by selling these channels to subscribers. Channels such as RT, CCTV, and Fox News should not be on the air in Canada. 

RT is a Russian state-owned and controlled propaganda station. It has been used to spread anti-western and divisive rhetoric, as well as false stories to justify invading Ukraine.

CCTV is Chinese state controlled media. In 2016 they aired forced confessions of 60 people, including Peter Dahlin. They, along with CGTN have lost licenses in the UK, and were suspended by Australia as well. 

We are calling on Canadian Cable providers to remove these damaging channels from their offerings for the good of society, and to stop profiting off well-known foreign propaganda.
