Remove prewritten responses on Facebook Marketplace

Remove prewritten responses on Facebook Marketplace
The Issue
As a regular seller on Facebook Marketplace, I frequently encounter a frustrating scenario: the barrage of prewritten responses such as “Is this available?” cluttering my inbox. Often, these messages appear to be from fake profiles or "bots," rather than genuine buyers interested in purchasing an item. These messages waste valuable time as I attempt to sift through responses to identify serious inquiries.
Facebook Marketplace initially promised a streamlined and user-friendly experience. However, prewritten responses undermine this promise by making it too easy for non-serious parties to bombard sellers with impersonal queries. With hundreds of messages to sort through, it becomes a significant burden and takes away from the efficiency that sellers, like myself, rely upon to sell items.
Statistically, user engagement and satisfaction on platforms are higher when communication feels personal and interactive. In fact, studies show that excessive automation in communication often leads to frustration and disengagement. By removing prewritten responses, Facebook can improve user satisfaction, reduce fake or inactive engagement, and create a more genuine community of buyers and sellers.
I urge Facebook to take action and eliminate the use of these automated responses. Doing so will enhance the user experience on Marketplace, making it a better platform for both buyers and sellers. It will encourage genuine inquiries and help build a more trustworthy environment for all members involved.
