I am thrilled to inform you that the Complaints Management Office of the Bank of Ghana has officially responded to our report regarding the predatory loan apps. They have assured us that they will take the necessary actions to address the issue.
This acknowledgment is a major step forward in holding these apps accountable for their exploitative and harmful practices. It shows that our voices are being heard and that we are making real progress in protecting Ghanaians from these fraudulent schemes.
But the fight isn’t over yet. We need to ensure that this leads to concrete action and that other authorities, like the Cyber Security Authority and Google, also step up.
