Remove or Replace Gimmie Moore as Cosplay Head Department

Remove or Replace Gimmie Moore as Cosplay Head Department
The Issue
It has come to our attention that the current Cosplay Head Director, Gimmie Moore, has been a source of discontent among the cosplay community for several years at DreamCon. Despite numerous vocalized concerns regarding Gimmie Moore's actions and interactions with multiple cosplaying attendees, including past cosplay guests, denying people's application into the cosplay contest based on their social media platforms; which is unethical, especially when she is not a judge, being trivial to cosplayers based on the way they look in their cosplays, etc. There have been no significant changes. As a result, interest in the cosplay contest has waned, and many dedicated cosplayers feel disheartened and overlooked.
We firmly believe that the expertise and experience of seasoned Cosplayers are crucial for effectively managing the Cosplay Department. Their firsthand knowledge and understanding of the Cosplay Blerd Culture and community dynamics would allow for a more empathetic and supportive leadership. By appointing experienced cosplayers, DreamCon can ensure that the department is run by individuals who genuinely understand and appreciate the intricacies and challenges of cosplaying while black in the community.
There are about six prominent Blerd/POC cosplayers who are eager to contribute their skills and insights to better DreamCon's Cosplay Department. Their involvement would not only bring fresh perspectives but also foster a more inclusive and diverse environment, reflecting the true spirit of our community. Additionally, there are other cosplayers who, while not specifically recommended here, share the sentiment that a change in leadership within the DreamCon Cosplay Department is necessary for the betterment of the cosplay portion of the convention!
