REMOVE NOSE RINGS FROM PEARL HIGH SCHOOL DRESSCODE

REMOVE NOSE RINGS FROM PEARL HIGH SCHOOL DRESSCODE
The Issue
Dresscode is made to prevent students from dressing inappropriately. People who work professional jobs are allowed to have nose rings and can still do their work accordingly. Nose rings or face piercings aren’t distracting and are a form of self expression. Nose rings are a trend these days among students, preventing self expression is not right in a place that is supposed to promote self expression. Pearl High School’s dress code is outdated. In the past nose rings may have been distracting but now as it is more common it is becoming normal. What is normal? Normal is being yourself and expressing yourself in a way that makes you comfortable, and how can students be comfortable if they can’t express themselves. Many students are getting dress coded for nose rings even though they are covered and don’t bother anybody. Let’s end this and allow nose rings and self expression. And don’t pirates wear nose rings?
