I am a resident of Santee, CA, living on Marrokal Lane. Like many of my neighbors, I have been grappling with the issue of insufficient parking due to the numerous 'No Parking' signs in our area. This has not only caused inconvenience but also affected our quality of life.

Santee is home to over 58,000 residents (U.S Census Bureau), and it's essential that city planning accommodates for sufficient parking spaces for all its inhabitants. The current situation on Marrokal Lane does not reflect this need.

The 'No Parking' signs limit the available space we have to park our vehicles near our homes. This often results in us having to park blocks away and walk back home late at night or during inclement weather conditions - a safety concern that needs immediate attention.

We understand that these signs may have been placed with good intentions such as preventing congestion. However, there is parking on the North side of Marrokal Lane, which makes no logical sense. Residents of Vista Del Rio Condos are now parking on front of Rancho Fanita Villas, leaving nowhere for the RFV resident or guests to park. It is crucial to strike a balance between these considerations and the basic needs of residents like us who call Marrokal Lane in Santee, home.

By removing these 'No Parking' signs on the entire West side of Marrokal Lane from Mission Gorge Rd to Prospect Avenue, we can create a more inclusive community where everyone's needs are considered and met. We urge local authorities in Santee to take action towards this pressing issue immediately.
