Another fantastic day of signatures with the petition fast approaching 4 figures.

The Sun and journalist Jerome Starkey have broken the news story last night that we have known and been keeping under wraps, namely about Nick’s brother, Rick Adderley having and wearing the same medal in 2020, that he apparently “gifted” to Nick in 2013 when he emigrated.

You may have noticed that we teased this information with a cropped photo in our update on 4th October 2023, showing Rick Adderley wearing the same medal. We did not reveal this to see if Adderley would actually decide to issue a statement admitting he had lied. The information about his brother wearing the medal in 2020 was not new information and Adderley would have always been aware this lie could be exposed, but his arrogance chose to continue, thinking he was untouchable.

The next damning lie that is now unravelling is that he did not serve 10 years in the Navy, in an official letter issued on 15th August 2018, Police Fire and Crime Commissioner Stephen Mold announced Nick Adderley’s appointment as Chief Constable, but specifically cites his “over 10 years in the Royal Navy”. The only place this lie could have come from after an interview and selection panel, is straight from the horses mouth. It is clear that Adderley lied to gain his job, in which case this becomes a matter that crosses the criminal threshold for breach of The Fraud Act 2006 by committing fraud by false representation.

We cannot simply allow this to just be handled with an internal IOPC investigation and allow Stephen Mold to collude with, and work out a deal with Adderley where he walks and keeps his pension as a reward for lying, a lie he has still yet to come out and admit recant.

Please sign and share to ensure public scrutiny and keep the IOPC and Stephen Mold’s feet to the fire so that he does the right thing and sacks Adderley and takes appropriate steps to request The Home Secretary withholds his pension.
