Do not forgot to join our "Stand against the beach ban" tomorrow at 11am on the Stade Open space to show your support against the new Summer dog beach ban.
This is about showing how important it is to us to get the ban removed and is no way political.
Fingers crossed the weather forecast is correct and there is no rain.
We have got everyone attention, and this is what it is all about. Did you know, 72% of respondents to the PSPO consultation were against the proposed beach restriction?
To be honest my head is spinning with all the finger pointing about who is to blame and my focus remains solely on getting the ban removed. I do of course have my own thoughts and options based on everything I have read but will leave you all to draw your own conclusions.
The bad artwork is my placard for tomorrow - and I look forward to meeting and talking to those of you who are able make it,
As I am non-political and posted a published statement on here from the Green Party I am doing the same at the request of Labour. - there will be no more.
Judy Rogers (Labour) sent me the following statement via e-mail
",When council officers changed the Dogs PSPO to be a total ban, Cllr Judy Rogers refused to approve it and in subsequent emails was clear that she wanted the 9-5 restriction kept in place.
The council was then taken over by the greens and independents, who clearly failed to keep to that line.
The idea that the Green-led cabinet didn’t know about it is nonsense. Their cabinet lead is quoted defending it in the local press a week before it came into force.
If you return a Labour council on May the 2nd we will repeal it - ideally in time for the beach to be enjoyed by dogs and their owners as usual this summer".
