Remove Neal Mohan from CEO position of YouTube

Remove Neal Mohan from CEO position of YouTube
The Issue
As a creator who has watched YouTube since childhood, I grew up inspired by the plethora of adventures and unique content that shaped my vision and creativity. YouTube was once a platform fueled by genuine innovation and community spirit. Today, standing on the other side as a creator, I am disheartened by what this beloved platform has transformed into under the leadership of the current CEO Neal Mohan.
Content creators, the very heart and soul of YouTube, are being sidelined and mistreated. In contrast, AI-generated channels and scammy content are gaining unfair advantages and flourishing. This stark imbalance not only crushes the creative spirit of real creators but also compromises the integrity and quality of content available to viewers.
YouTube’s core principle was to provide a stage for diverse and authentic voices, offering opportunities to aspiring creators globally. This vision is slowly being overshadowed by the prioritization of algorithmic output and monetization strategies that reward quantity over quality.
Under Neal Mohan's leadership, creators face increasing challenges: their channels are plagued by unjust demonetization, the algorithm has become less favorable to authentic content, and there's a perceived lack of transparency and support for real creators.
The thriving community of content creators is the backbone of YouTube’s success, and it is our collective responsibility to ensure they are heard and valued. Revoking Neal Mohan’s position as CEO could pave the way for leadership that genuinely appreciates the YouTube community, fair treatment, and quality content over generic algorithm-based production.
It's time for YouTube to realign with its original mission of empowering individual creators and ensuring a diverse, inclusive, and ethical content ecosystem. Let's call for change in YouTube’s leadership to restore its true essence.
Please join me in signing this petition to remove Neal Mohan from his position and urge for leadership that will mend the disconnection between YouTube’s administration and its devoted creators.
