As a devoted Christian, I have been strived to lead a God-centered life. Consuming entertainment, whether it's movies or television shows,  broadcast platforms, social media, commercials and music. How many of us unwind and connect with stories from around the world. Sadly, too often this enjoyment is disrupted by the misuse of the Lord's name - a form of speech that many faiths recognize as deeply disrespectful and inappropriate.

Many people are uncomfortable with hearing sacred names used thoughtlessly in entertainment. The misuse of the Lord's name is a pressing issue not just for Christians across our country, but for viewers of many faiths who find traditional beliefs trivialized in popular media. The integrity of our beliefs deserves to be respected, just as much as anyone else's.

Moreover, this isn't just about respect for religious beliefs. Children, who form a large audience for television and films, absorb language from what they see and hear in media. Exposing them to a disrespectful linguistic routine inadvertently conditions them to propagate such expressions. This not only undermines their moral and spiritual education but also subtly erodes the positive values we aspire to instill in them.

We live in a world with diverse cultures and beliefs, and it's essential that our entertainment reflects that diversity respectfully. By taking a stand and urging content creators to play more positive, uplifting films and shows without taking the Lord’s name in vain, we advocate for content that is inclusive and respectful of all viewers’ beliefs.

Producers, directors, writers, and broadcasters have a remarkable platform to shape society's narrative. We call upon them to be conscious of the impact their content has on diverse audiences and to make a deliberate effort to avoid negative portrayals of religious sentiments.
