Remove Judge Regina Chu from Office

Remove Judge Regina Chu from Office
The Issue
Judge Regina M. Chu willingly and knowingly abused her office and engaged in conduct that brings the judiciary into disrepute by exhibiting bias towards murderer Kim Potter in the Daunte Wright case. Former Brooklyn Center police officer Kim Potter shot and killed Daunte Wright on April 11, 2021 in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota. Potter claimed that she mistook her gun for a taser when there was a clear difference, and she had been on the force for years, long enough to know the difference. Judge Regina Chu sentenced Potter to two years in prison with credit for time served and started crying while sentencing her. This is in sharp contrast to a Black defendants who she exhibited cruel and unusual punishment and was harsh in her sentencing.
