In 2022, Russia was banned from partaking in Eurovision after they invaded in Russia after the event group stated that the event should stand for “the basic and ultimate values of democracy”.

Today, we are watching a genocide being televised on our phone screens, with over 20,000 murdered civilians in Gaza. The apartheid state of Israel has committed war crimes, by bombing hospitals, schools, using illegal weapons and targeting journalists. Not to mention the thousands of children they have murdered. 

However they are still allowed to take part in the Eurovision? Why does the event not stand for basic and ultimate values of democracy when it comes to Palestinian lives? Do they not matter to the Eurovision organisers? 

We demand the removal of Israel from the Eurovision song contest and call upon the Eurovision team to uphold their stance on democracy. They cannot allow a genocide committing state to take part in this contest!!
