This community deserved better, and it still does

Parents formally submitted an incident report regarding the treatment of parents, students, and teachers during this incident. The Board was put on notice, yet parents have received no meaningful response, no explanation, and no indication that the matter was investigated or addressed.

The principal, administration, and Board have failed to show the respect and accountability that parents, teachers, and students should expect from the people entrusted with their school. These are not outsiders demanding answers. These are the families, educators, and students who make up this school community.

The fact that most of the current Board will be leaving after the upcoming election does not change their responsibility to act while they are still serving. A leadership transition does not erase serious concerns, and it should not become an excuse to leave them unresolved.

Parents raised these concerns formally and gave the Board an opportunity to address them. Instead, there has been silence. That is not acceptable.

And yes, we stand by the purpose of this petition: Hamzah Goodson and Denetria Shirley should go. Parents should not have to repeatedly demand basic respect, accountability, and answers from their own school leadership.
