Flock Cameras are part of a wide mass surveillance system that is being put in place nationwide under the guise of 'automatic license plate readers'. 

Unfortunately, these cameras are not very good at the job of stopping criminal activity, but rather excel at tracking citizens without their consent, and being notoriously easy to commandeer for anyone in power (Flock workers, Police officers, or rogue hackers) to use to their advantage (stalking, harassing, and at times even to watch little children for potentially nefarious reasons).

Wilmington has already begun to get rid of their Cameras, so University of Delaware students must ask- why are we being subjected to non-consenual surveillance with no word from the administration.

I urge all who sign or don't sign this to do their own independent research and use tools such as Deflock.org, ACLU.org, and to PLEASE REACH OUT TO THE CITY OF NEWARK AND UNIVERSITY OF DELAWARE ADMINISTRATION. 

All students of different backgrounds, opinions, and everything else can come together to put an end to this dystopian surveillance!
