To all 3,088+ of you who signed:

Tomorrow, Monday, August 17, we turn names on a petition into people in the street. Gather at 3:00 PM at the corner of Princess Street and North 3rd Street in downtown Wilmington. Skies are clear — no rain expected. Bring a sign, bring a neighbor (or five), and let your voice be heard.

This isn't only a protest. It's a celebration of what 3,088 of us built together — a stand to stop being tracked like suspects on our own roads. Signup at 3:30 to speak if you want to speak with the Clerk inside the Historic Courthouse.  Then, at 4:00 PM, the New Hanover County Commissioners meet in Room 301. Come to the corner at 3, march in together, and stay to be counted. You don't have to speak to matter — you just have to show up.

Wilmington is part of something bigger. This is the National Week of Action Against ALPRs — more than 400 events across the country this week — and we are one of them. When you stand on that corner, you stand with tens of thousands of Americans saying the same thing at the same time.

This is a peaceful protest with folks on all sides of the aisle, right, left, middle - some may even jump the aisle.  So let's be respectful of the different voices.

One more thing — take photos. Post them with #DeFlockILM and #noalprs, and email your best shots to Mark@DeFlockILM.org so we can show the Board, and the country, what turnout looks like in Wilmington.  Since we are privacy focused, consider blurring faces....
