Remove Employment Barriers Placed on the Formerly-Incarcerated.

Remove Employment Barriers Placed on the Formerly-Incarcerated.
The Issue
An estimated 9 million people are released from U.S. jails every year, and almost 2/3 of them are arrested again within three years. This is mostly because released prisoners have a tough time finding jobs with all the societal barriers placed on the formerly incarcerated. And if the released prisoners can't find jobs, they won't be able to afford housing, and will most likely end up in a loop, right back into jail. By signing this petition, you support the fight for former prisoners to regain their lives, free from any silly mistake they made years ago. More jobs mean adequate housing, which means cleanliness, and incarceration prevention. This is proven, as 93% of those who were able to secure employment during the entirety of their supervised release were able to successfully reintegrate back into their communities and not return to prison. Join the fight now to end crime and restart lives.
