Every student deserves a school environment where they feel supported, heard, and valued. Unfortunately, this hasn't been the experience for many of us at Sussex Hamilton High School under the leadership of Principal Dominic Bauer.

Throughout his tenure, Mr. Bauer has consistently failed to meet the needs of students. Decisions affecting our daily lives feel increasingly removed from what truly benefits us. Instances of mishandled discipline, lack of communication, and disregard for student voices have become too frequent to overlook. We deserve a principal who actively listens and takes meaningful action to improve our academic environment.

Evidence of these failures can be seen in countless personal accounts from students and parents. There have been numerous occasions where student concerns have been dismissed or not appropriately addressed. For example, disciplinary actions often appear inconsistent, lacking fairness and transparency. This chaotic approach doesn't foster a safe or productive educational space.

Furthermore, Mr. Bauer's leadership has seen a troubling decline in student engagement and school morale. Students who were once enthusiastic about attending classes and participating in school events now express relief when the school day ends. A principal plays a crucial role in shaping the school culture, and it is evident that this culture is suffering.

The school board and district officials must take these concerns seriously. Reviewing Mr. Bauer's leadership practices is crucial for the well-being of current and future students. We are asking Sussex High School to hire a principal who embodies the values of empathy, transparency, and progressive educational leadership.
