Vaping is becoming more and more of a problem for our teens and young people. It is far too easily accessible to them and it is now an epidemic. 

My 14 year old son who was a competitive climber for NZ was offered a nicotine containing vape. He thought it was safe.......he is now addicted, no longer climbs and suffers mental health issues.

We have launched this petition -and also a parliamentary petition - to push for change and protect our young people.

There is not enough information to prove that vaping is any less harmful than cigarette smoking. They are doing it in schools and children are often afraid to even go to the bathroom during school hours. It is creating a very negative culture within our young people. The crime rate and the ram raid target stores are more likely to be dairies and small stores that stock these products. The attacks on these stores are increasing exponentially!!

With legislation being proposed we need to support efforts already being put in place. 

No vaping products available in dairies, service stations and supermarkets. Tougher regulations on specialist vape stores. This has to be actioned before teens and young people get hooked and we start losing what everyone loves......... the good old corner dairy.
