Remove Dangerous Nightclub for Public Safety - Noir Sydney

The issue

Concerned citizens petitioning for the immediate ban of licensing for the Sydney nightclub "Noir." This venue has a number of safety issues which have been highlighted over recent months.

There have been instances of violence, drug-related incidents, and general public safety concerns which cannot be ignored. We believe it is in the best interest of the Oxford Street Population to close "Noir Sydney" to prevent further problems and ensure everyone's safety is put first.

Moreover, we are also taking into account the homophobic attitudes which are promoted at this venue & by the type of patrons promoted to come to the venue.

just recently we had instances of violence coming from a group of patrons that had left the controversial venue and verbally assaulted 2 popular Sydney Drag Queens & members of the public had to intervene not only after it had escalated onto the street.

Other instances involved a matter with a person being pushed down stairs by security personnel during a redbull party hosted there & transphobic comments where made towards individuals who wanted to use the bathroom by security.

Just 2 weeks ago I personally witnessed 2 queer men kissing out the front of my venue where a group of men coming from the nightclub noir Sydney walked by and started yelling homophobic things to these queer men.

We stand firmly against hate of any kind, and we believe that the owners and patrons of the club have created an environment which is hostile to the LGBTQIA+ community which have been present on Oxford Street since the early 60s/70s.

Their promotion of such attitudes is unacceptable, and we cannot allow such discrimination & violence to continue in our society & neighbourhood.

Signing this petition will urge & show the relevant authorities to take swift action and ban the licensing of "Noir" to prevent further harm to the public and ensure that discrimination is not promoted in our society. We call on all concerned citizens to support this petition and demand that action is taken to protect the well-being and safety of all members in our community.

Thank you for your support, please spread the awareness.
