iHeartMedia Management and Owners: Remove Curtis Sliwa from WOR 710

To the Management and Owners of iHeartMedia,

We, the undersigned, urge you to remove Curtis Sliwa from his position at WOR 710. As a prominent voice in New York City, Sliwa's continued presence on airwaves is damaging to the city's reputation and undermines the democratic process. Sliwa's refusal to withdraw from the 2025 mayoral election has been criticized for splitting votes and handing the election to Zohran Mamdani. This decision prioritizes personal ambition over the city's best interests, betraying the trust of New Yorkers ¹ ² ³.

Furthermore, Sliwa's actions, including meeting with Mamdani for a comedy skit that was perceived as insulting to New Yorkers, and refusing to pay campaign staffers, raise concerns about his commitment to fair play and transparency. The comedy skit, where Sliwa played a doctor giving Mamdani an allergy shot, was seen as a betrayal by some Republicans, who accused Sliwa of "cozying up" to his political rival. Additionally, Sliwa had a heated on-air shouting match with WABC-AM's owner, John Catsimatidis, and eventually quit WABC, stating he'd never return to the studio ² ⁴ ⁵.

Unlike Mayor Eric Adams and Jim Walden, who have prioritized putting NYC first, Sliwa's actions suggest he prioritizes his own interests over the city's well-being.

We, the people of New York City, demand Curtis Sliwa's removal from WOR 710. If iHeartMedia refuses, we will boycott all iHeartRadio-affiliated platforms and urge our fellow New Yorkers to join us.

Sincerely,
TLC Driver Advocate Raúl Rivera
