The Issue
As parents deeply invested in the well-being and future of our children, it is our responsibility to ensure they are in a supportive and positive educational environment. However, there have been growing concerns regarding Clay Traylor's role in the administration and staff at Rocky Mountain Classical Academy, which we believe compromise this objective.
Rocky Mountain Classical Academy is a place that prides itself on excellence, nurturing, and respect for both students and teachers. Yet, with the presence of Clay Traylor in its administration, these foundational values have been challenged. Numerous reports from parents and teachers indicate a pattern of behavior from Traylor that is disruptive, unprofessional, and often dismissive of the concerns raised by both staff and the community. These reports cannot be taken lightly as they directly impact the safety and quality of education our children are receiving.
Research has shown that a positive and stable administration is crucial for a successful learning environment. According to the National Education Association, schools with strong leadership and collaborative staff tend to have more effective teaching and learning outcomes. Unfortunately, this has not been our experience with Traylor in the administration.
Our children deserve administrators who are responsive, understanding, and work collaboratively with teachers and parents alike. They deserve a nurturing educational environment where the values of respect, responsibility, and integrity are upheld by all, especially those in leadership positions. By removing Clay Traylor from his position, we can restore faith in our academy's leadership and reaffirm our commitment to a conducive learning atmosphere for our children.
We urge the school board to take immediate action to address this concern. Together, we have the power to effect positive change and ensure our children and their educators are protected and supported. Sign this petition to join us in our call for new leadership at Rocky Mountain Classical Academy. Let us safeguard the educational future of our children.
