Kia ora one. Kia ora all.
As we begin the new week, it is now time to shift from this website to the Parliament website where I have established a new petition. At the time of typing this, it was awaiting moderation by the Office of the Clerk.
I am acting on advice from the Hon. Duncan Webb, Labour M.P. for Christchurch Central and Hon. Phil Twyford, Labour M.P. for Te Atatu in Auckland - where the storming of the library that prompted this in the first place, happened - that for Parliament to consider the petition effort. it needs to appear as a petition on their website.
What that means for the petition on this website is that no more work will be done on it here. All future work on the matter will be driven by the petition that will be on the Parliament website.
----
To our many supporters, I thank you all for your efforts on this. I think that N.Z. Parliament might limit who can sign it as, obviously, it is by and for New Zealanders.
To that end, there will be 3 more update here on the Change website.
1) When it is approved on by the Office of the Clerk; at the same time I will notify Duncan Webb and Phil Twyford.
2) When Parliament consider the petition on the Parliament website.
3) When we have a result. This will be the final act - the petition will be closed at this point, victory or no victory.
In solidarity,
Rob
