Kia ora one. Kia ora all.

In the last 72 hours we have had two things happen that I just want to share with you, the people who made the success of this petition possible.

The first thing is that the Police have arrested 4 people in relation to the storming of the library, by Destiny Church. The charges that have led to their arrests include:

  1. Indecent assault
  2. Assault under the Summary of Offences Act
  3. Assault under the Crimes Act

Two of the 4 arrested face multiple counts. The Police say that more charges are likely to be laid.

It also emerges that the Freedom and Rights Coalition organized the protest.

The second thing that I want to share with you is that Labour M.P. for Christchurch Central, Dr Duncan Webb has agreed to accept the petition.

There is one final push commencing, which will end next week when I hand the petition over to Duncan.

If anyone has any information on why Freedom and Rights might have been involved, I would be keen to hear more - you can e-mail me at abetternewzealand@gmail.com if you know anything, or have questions about the petition, the content of the e-mails I've been sending.

In solidarity,

Rob
