Pump.fun became the leading launchpad because of its community.

For months, traders ("trenchers") have been the ones providing liquidity, discovering new projects, and keeping the platform alive. But one issue has continued to grow and is now damaging the experience for everyone:

The endless wave of vampire launches.

With the introduction of new launch modes—such as Cashback, USDC pairs, Charity, and others—it has become easier than ever for deployers to copy an existing narrative and launch dozens of competing derivatives within minutes.

Instead of allowing one strong project to build momentum, every promising narrative is instantly flooded with clones.

The result is:

Liquidity gets split across hundreds of nearly identical tokens.
Communities become fragmented before they can even form.
Good narratives die before reaching their full potential.
Traders spend more time navigating endless PvP than discovering genuine opportunities.
On June 30th, 2026, Pump.fun removed the Tokenized Agent mode. Many traders saw this as the first step toward reducing vampire launches and improving the health of the ecosystem.

However, the feature that continues to fuel this behavior the most is Cashback.

While Cashback was introduced to reward traders, in practice it has also created one of the strongest incentives for deployers to launch derivative tokens purely to capture trading volume instead of building original communities. This concern has become increasingly common across the Pump.fun community.

We believe Pump.fun should prioritize the long-term health of its ecosystem over short-term trading incentives.

Our Request
We respectfully ask the Pump.fun team to:

Remove Cashback mode for future launches.
Continue reducing mechanics that encourage vampire launches.
Prioritize features that strengthen original communities instead of fragmenting them.
Help restore healthier market dynamics where quality projects can grow naturally.
This is not a movement against innovation.

It is a movement in favor of a healthier ecosystem for everyone: traders, creators, and Pump.fun itself.
